Red Orange Color Field

I’m very interested in color field studies. This bold red and orange painting has a lot of texture and depth that can’t really be seen in the photo. I’ve been experimenting with adding various things like caulk to the paint to get more depthand texture. In many of my other paintings, I used a lot of other materials such as paper, ribbon, real dried leaves and flowers to add interest.

Much of the work I’m doing now would fall under the Abstract Expressionism style – there is a lot of energy and emotion in my paintings.
